Recipes of the Rockies was started in 2003 in Fruita, Colorado, with Barbara's publication of the Mike the Headless Chicken Cookbook, the Official Mike the Headless Chicken Cookbook.

 

 

 

Preview recipes from Barb's upcoming cookbook "Cooking with  Polly; Culinary Adventures with a Boston Terrier," a whimsically illustrated cookbook for people who like to cook and the dogs that love them.

 

Barbara Avery  is a freelance food writer.   Her articles appear in the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel and Cox News Service affiliates including the Atlanta Journal Constitution. 
She can also be seen monthly as a guest chef  on Mesa County, Colorado's, TV program Suppertime Solutions.
